ROSEVIEW CATTERY - BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By placing a booking you accept the below conditions:


1. Boarding Fees and Payments - 1 cat per pen is charged at £10.50 per day - 2 cats sharing a pen at £8.50 per cat per day - 3 cats sharing a pen at £8 per cat per day.
The price quoted for multiple cats is priced assuming cats can be housed in the same pen. Only cats from the same household may share a pen. We reserve the right to separate the cats if problems arise i.e. stress/anxiety/behavioural issues in which case the individual cat prices will be charged for each cat staying. Day of arrival, day of departure and all days booked are charged for.
We are happy to accept payment in the form of Bank Transfer or Cash only (we do not accept cheques). Bank details provided on request. Please put your surname or cat’s name as a reference. Boarding fees are payable at any time but must be paid in full before or at the time of collection.

 

2. Check in/Check out - Drop off and collection times of cats is by appointment only between the hours of 9:30am and 11am or 4:30pm and 6pm Mon-Sat and 9:30am and 11am on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Please agree these times at the time of booking. We would encourage you to check in and out during these hours for the benefit of the cats in our care. Tailored check ins can be arranged at the point of booking or in the event of unforeseen circumstances by contacting us on 01283 295601 to arrange an alternative time.

 

3. Viewings - We welcome prospective clients the opportunity to visit our Cattery. Viewings can be made by appointment only so please contact us on 01283 295601 to arrange a mutually convenient time.

 

4. Un-Neutered & Un-Spayed Cats - We regret we do not accept any un-neutered male or un-spayed female cats. The last thing we want to do is turn away business but we have to consider the wellbeing of the other cats in the Cattery.

 

5. Food - Premium dry food will be available to all cats throughout the day, unless otherwise directed by their owner. We supply Whiskas/Go-Cat/IAMS biscuits. Wet food pouches will be given twice daily or as required by the owner. We supply both Felix & Whiskas pouches of meat and fish variety in both gravy and jelly. All food age ranges are catered for from kitten to senior in both biscuits and pouches. Treats will be given daily when interacting with your cat(s). Your cat’s preferred feeding requirements will be discussed at the time of booking.
We are happy to give alternative or prescription food if provided by their owner. Please ensure that you bring enough food to cover the stay of your cat(s).

 

6. Pet Carriers - All cats must be brought in a suitable carrier which must be checked to ensure it is securely locked while transporting your cat into and out of the Cattery area. Carriers will be left in the pen with your cat for added comfort, as a hiding place and also for emergency evacuation procedures.

 

7. Health and Vaccination requirements - All cats are required to have a valid vet certificate for full vaccination against RCP which is a combination vaccine for - Rhinotracheitis virus (feline herpes), Calicivirus, Panleukopenia virus (causing enteritis) together with a confirmed vaccination against FeLV (feline leukaemia virus). Primary vaccinations must have been administered no less than 14 days prior to boarding. Please bring your certificate(s) with you as your cat(s) cannot be accepted into the cattery without this documentation. (This is on the advice of our Cattery Vets and also DEFRA Cattery Boarding Regulations with
East staffs Borough Council). All cats will be inspected before check in is completed. We reserve the right to refuse admission to any cat(s) showing signs of ill health.

 

8. Medication - We are happy to discuss administering any non-intrusive medication for your cat which has been prescribed by a vet i.e. medication to be mixed in food, flea treatment for long stay cats. All medication must be in its original packaging with your cat’s name clearly labelled and with precise instructions. We regret we will not administer injections.

 

9. Worm & Flea treatment - Cats accepted into the Cattery must be fully up to date with treatment for both fleas and worms. Should any cat require treatment during their stay the cost of the treatment will be charged to the owner.

 

10. Collars – We prefer that all collars are removed before entering the Cattery with the exception of identity collars, microchipped tags, ”Do Not Feed If Found” tags or flea collars. This decision is at the owner’s discretion.

 

11. Enrichment - We provide plastic play balls but you are more than welcome to bring your cat’s own enrichment items provided they can be easily disinfected. We are unable to supply scratch posts due to the risk of cross contamination so we would ask that you bring your own, especially if your cat likes to scratch as our pens are of a wooden construction.

 

12. Blankets & Bedding - All cats are provided with their own bed, soft blankets, self-heated pad (if required) & during the winter months electric heated beds in the main cattery pens.

 

13. Evacuation Emergencies - In the event of an evacuation emergency i.e. fire, we will endeavour to box the cats and take them to a place of safety. If this is not possible then the cats will be released. Should the Cattery premises become uninhabitable due to fire, breakdown for essential heating, ventilation or suspension/revocation of our Cattery licence, we would in the first instance contact the owner, then the emergency contact to advise that they need to either collect the cat or give permission for us to re-board at Brankley Cattery, Dunstall Cross, Barton-Under-Needwood, DE13 8BN – telephone no 01283 711525. This would be conditional upon Brankley Cattery being able to accommodate the cat(s) on our behalf.

 

14. Veterinary treatment - If your cat(s) should appear unwell whilst in our care we will contact the owner or emergency contact so they can arrange to take the cat(s) to their own vet. If this is not possible for any reason or in the event of a medical emergency we reserve the right to take your cat to our own Vets Practice (Medivet – 30 Horninglow Road North, Burton on Trent, DE13 0SL Tel 01283 541608) rather than risk delays. An extra cost of £10 will be charged to cover the cost of additional cattery staffing whilst transporting your cat to the vet and this will be payable on collection of your cat(s). All resulting veterinary fees will be liable for payment by the Cat Owner. The vet has overall say in the treatment (including euthanasia) of the cat. The Cat Owner is hereby made aware that no veterinary insurance cover is provided by the Cattery.

 

15. Insurance - If you have Insurance for your cat(s) please make sure you have provided us with up to date details in case a visit to our vets is required.

 

16. Uncollected Cats - In the event of your cat not being collected within 14 days of the agreed check out date, and no communication has been received from either the owner or emergency contact, a decision to re home your cat will be made at the discretion of Roseview Cattery and all associated costs will be payable by the owner.

 

17. Death of a cat whilst in cattery - In the unfortunate case of your cat passing away whilst in the care of Roseview Cattery we will inform the owner accordingly who can then arrange to collect the cat. In the event of the owner not being contactable please make sure that the emergency contact is aware of your wishes i.e. arrange to collect the cat and take to own vet for storage until owner returns.

 

18. Website - From time to time Roseview Cattery updates the picture gallery on its website with photographs of the most recent cat guests. The cat owner is asked to let the cattery know if they do not wish their cat(s) to be included.

 

19. Liability - Cats are boarded at the sole risk of their owners. Whilst every care will be given to all cats, they, and any items left, are boarded at the cat owner’s risk. Roseview Cattery does not accept any liability for illness, injury or death of any cat in their care, nor does it accept any liability for any loss, damage or injury to any person or belongings whilst using, or visiting the Cattery or its parking area.

 

20. Your contract with us - These terms & conditions form the basis of our contract with you. By placing a booking, making a payment or attending the Cattery itself, implies acceptance of these conditions. If after placing a booking these conditions are not able to be met by the customer, Roseview Cattery reserves the right to not admit the cat(s).

 

21. Licence - We are fully licensed by East Staffordshire Borough Council. Licence no. ESBS AB0014.
